ABOUT US

Formed in 2018, MTB&B is a family run business, created out of our obsession for all things mountain biking. We have traveled around the world tasting some of the finest trails, but believe we are lucky enough to live and work in one of the greatest areas with off piste routes aplenty. Our hub is based in Hope, the absolute hot spot for biking in the Peak District, with Hope and MTB becoming synonymous.

Our aim is to provide our customers with a hassle free e-bike or mountain bike adventure, letting you concentrate on creating memories that last, whilst we use our wealth of knowledge and experience to plan, prepare and oversee your adventure.

Our hire bikes are carefully selected to ensure suitability for the Peak District terrain and fully maintained by Cytech qualified mechanics, ensuring a hassle free experience.

With many, many, many experience days under our belt, from solo riders and families, through to large corporate, or stag and hen do's, complete novices to highly experienced riders we are experienced in it all, helping ensure an amazing day.

The Peak District and the Hope Valley in particular is an outstanding area to mountain bike with endless routes, up and down spectacular hillsides and around it's many reservoirs. Make the most of your time here and let us create lasting memories for you.

Mark was awesome! We booked the activity in November 2019 for Saturday 22 Feb 2020 and from the outset I was put at ease with how Mark handled the booking.

I said I needed an activity to last around 6 hours for 12 blokes with varying experience and a pub stop along the way for lunch.

He sorted the whole thing- delivered the bikes to we where staying and he and Pete guided us for the whole day. Their support to some of us who had not done mountain biking before was great- we all learnt loads about it. Lunch was great and a well picked pub.

It was a challenging course but everyone completed it and said they enjoyed the whole day. The course had something in for everyone’s ability and we where supported the whole way round.

Can not recommend highly enough. Everyone from beginners to pro mountain bikers would get something from this company.

Just completed 2 bike rides in the Peak District with Mark. What a great time - good route selection and great guiding. MTB&B's bikes were very good quality and well presented and maintained. I now live in the USA ad this was my first time mountain biking in the UK - I was not disappointed. I am so glad Google found MTB&B for me - I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again. Day 1 was an "easy" ride with 4 of us (2 new to mountain biking) on a 23 mile loop around Ladybower Reservoir - some rocky tech, some easy road and gravel, some grass, 1,700 ft of climbing. Day 2 was just for me and a bit more challenging - an 18 mile loop (3,000 ft of climbing) from Edale, up Mam Tor, over Rushup Edge, across to Hayfield and Kinder Scout, ending down Jacob’s Ladder - I admit to walking some of it but no complaints. Scenery was beautiful and the ride included all sorts of terrain - plenty of rock, ruts, water, gravel,grass, mud... what more could I ask for? Thanks Mark - good job!!

Superb day on one of their Scott e-bikes. Had a fantastic guided tour of Goyt Valley by the owner, Mark. Rode on and off road, the bike and guide gave me the confidence to tackle all the terrain and surfaces the Peaks threw at us. Using the e-bikes meant I got to see so much more of the stunning countryside than I would have been able to cover on a normal mountain bike in the same time. Unbelievably good fun and would recommend MTB&B to anyone who wants to give it a go. First time I've ever tried proper off road riding so you honestly don't have to be 'experienced' to get on one of these bikes and have a brilliant day. First class!

Just had a brilliant day riding in the Peak District, we hired 5 e-bikes from Mtb&b, Mark met us in the morning at an agreed location and gave us a demo of the bikes and we headed off, we were all impressed with the quality of the bikes, you have as much fun climbing up as you do riding down hill, we rode some tough climbs and the bikes performed perfectly.
