Ladybower Loop

Distance : 20 miles

Climbing : 2.5k ft

 

Explore the beautiful Derwent Valley, with bridleways, grass, single track, farm roads, fire road and tarmac country lanes... we can find it all around Ladybower. Splendid scenery and  isolation gives you a great taster of mountain biking fun.

Eastern moors

Distance : 18 miles

Climbing : 2.5k ft

 

Mountain biking is quite literally exploding into the Eatern Peak District. Great work by advocacy groups like Peak District MTB has granted access to some fantastic "out there" trails that are great for introducing riders to real mountain biking. With a terrain varied enough to help you pick up some new skills, this is a great area to test your aptitude to mud!

Typical route:

Distance : 15 miles

Climbing : 2k ft

 

Quintessential English country side, often referred to as 'the green area of the Peak' with lush countryside and rolling hills, as opposed to the high lying monsters of the Dark Peak. Despite that claim, there is still some excellent climbing to be done and some exciting downhill action around Chatsworth House and towards Bakewell golf course. This ride is a good test of stamina but is not overly technical, taking in the Monsal Trail for a couple of miles before deviating around Great Longstone and across to the Chatsworth Estate. A steady climb around Manners Wood is rewarded with some woodland descents back to the car park.
